The Leonard Florence Center for Living, America’s first urban model Green House skilled nursing facility, held its 17th Annual ALS & MS Walk for Living on October 5. Residents, families, and community members participated in a two-mile walk around Admirals Hill to raise funds for patient care and programs.
“This walk and contributions provide residents who live at the Leonard Florence Center for Living a totally different kinds of life than they would have had in any other nursing home,” began Betsy Mullen, COO, Chelsea Jewish Lifecare. “It truly makes Leonard Florence a center for living. The quality of life and care they receive every day is exceptional. It is because of the compassion and competent care that our staff provides.”
